THE FREIGHT FORWARDER PART OF MARINE CARGO DIRECT IS CURRENTLY UNDER
DEVELOPMENT AND WILL BE OPERATIONAL SOON.
Please read the following
With effect from
the 14th January 2005 freight fowarders are no longer allowed to sell on, include
in-freight charges or administer insurance on behalf of their customers unless they
are registered with the Financial Services Authority.
Many freight forwarders’ customers have been forced to arrange insurance via other
less simple means. Marine Cargo Direct enables a freight forwarder to carry on serving
their customers needs without getting involved with FSA regulated insurance business.
Marine Cargo Direct also enables the freight forwarder to continue earning commission.
How does it work?
- You need to
register
your business (if we don’t hold
your information already).
- Activate your account, which switches on your ability to earn
commission on sales from your customers.
Every time you recommend a customer to our website, they will be asked to confirm
who their freight forwarder or agent is. Every time a customer selects your company
you receive the commission.
You can view your progress via your company’s profile which is available when you
log in.
Do I really need to register?
Yes, because if you don’t, you will not receive commission!
Can I arrange insurance for my customers?
NO. Definitely not.
This is forbidden and will lead to your account being deactivated, any insurance
arranged voided and may render you liable to an action by the FSA which could lead
to a fine or imprisonment.
How often do we receive commission?
We pay you commission monthly.
How do I register and activate my account?
By completing a simple registration process.
